Description:Assists in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
Duties:LPN JOB RESPONSIBILITES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)
1. Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.
2. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs.
3. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
4. Gives injections and applies splints and dressings.
5. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments.
6. Assists physicians in preparing for and performing minor surgeries and procedures.
7. Provides patient education and answers questions related to specialty procedures and diagnoses.
8. May be responsible for disclosing results of diagnostic work to patients following the physician’s results and answering questions.
9. Performs nurse triage related to the specialty.
10. Maintains the patient file, records and other information.
11. Maintains patient confidentiality.
12. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
13. Ongoing Customer Service Training.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

MOA JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
1. Escorts patients to room and assists in determining medical problem.
2. Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
3. Takes patient histories and vital signs.
4. Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examination and/or testing.
5. Stocks supplies.
6. Gives injections and applies splints and dressing.
7. Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries.
8. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
9. Instructs patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
10. Assist in the referral process.
11. Maintains patient confidentiality.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:LPN REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. 1-2 years of professional nursing experience and/or supervisory experience.
3. Possession of a current state registered LPN license.
4. Current healthcare provider level CPR certification required.
5. Skill in assisting a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
6. Skill in taking vital signs.
7. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
8. Must be flexible, quick learner.
9. Ability to multi-task and float to any position.


MOA REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred; graduation from an accredited MOA program required.
2. 2-3 years of relevant experience.
3. Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care.
4. Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medications.
5. Skill in taking vital signs.
6. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
7. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with physicians, patients and co-workers.
8. Current healthcare provider level CPR certification required.
9. Must be flexible, quick learner.
10. Ability to multi-task and float to any position.
