| Description: | The IT Infrastructure Manager/Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and support of all Systems and Network infrastructure. This position participates in and oversees the delivery of all server and network technologies and is recognized as the senior technical resource in the department. The position works closely with all technical partners and contributes to the long term Technology Strategy. The individual reports to the Director of IT and must maintain effective working relationships with other IT management and staff. The ideal candidate will have deep and wide technical experience with Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, SAN and Cisco technologies. |
| Duties: | (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
1. Lead the infrastructure team in best practices from a technology and process perspective.
2. Develop, enhance and implement operational procedures to minimize service interruptions.
3. Prioritize work for staff based upon overall department priorities.
4. Help develop and maintain the Technology Strategy.
5. Install, configure and maintain servers and other infrastructure related equipment.
6. Troubleshoot communications circuit problems to all remote sites.
7. Troubleshoot equipment, cabling, and power failures for all communications connectivity to all remote sites.
8. Coordinate with other staff when data and phone cabling needs are required.
9. Ensure that data center and clinic IDF’s are maintained in neat, clean and orderly fashion. Cables are to be tied neatly and all cables and equipment will be accurately documented and marked.
10. Design, specify and document LAN configurations according to user needs, utilizing outside support resources as appropriate.
11. Keep network documentation updated to aid in troubleshooting using standard tools such as Word, Excel, and Visio.
12. Work with vendors on projects and new purchases.
13. Prepare strategic designs to accommodate growth path outlined by clinic goals; provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.
14. Develop and monitor appropriate security procedures to safeguard system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.
15. Configure and maintain firewalls.
16. Maintain and enhance Exchange environment.
17. Maintain and monitor all network and server backup systems.
18. Develop and maintain disaster planning and recovery procedures.
19. Train other information services staff as needed.
20. Manage time and conduct performance reviews.
21. Provide performance feedback and take corrective action with staff, when necessary.
22. Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of new staff.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: | 1. Experience with complex Microsoft server environments
2. SAN experience- preferably NetApp
3. Backup & Recovery experience
4. Antivirus and other security related technologies
5. Personable, team player
6. Superior written and verbal communication skills
7. Project management skills
8. Supervisory skills
9. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple, competing priorities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience supporting systems where high availability is required
2. AS/400 and UNIX knowledge
3. Active Directory, Exchange, SMS, Sharepoint and Tivoli experience
4. VMware ESX implementation and management experience
5. Citrix solutions experience
6. Systems High Availability and Disaster Recovery experience-preferably within virtual environment.
7. ITIL Foundations
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field required; experience in lieu of education will be considered.
Certifications (Microsoft MCSE) required, VCP & CCNA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of ten years of experience with similar environments. At least two years experience supervising technical staff and experience working within a team.
