Description:Develop and analyze various special projects as directed by the CFO. Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
Duties:(This list may not include all of the duties assigned):
1. Conducts studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
2. Reviews contracts with various insurance and governmental agencies to analyze financial impact.
3. Performs analysis and interpretation of financial reports to assist in the budgeting process.
4. Assists in the generation of financial reports to physicians specific to their practice and/or clinics.
5. Works with Accounting Department to ensure efficient and accurate flow of information from the billing system to the company financials.
6. Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or financial regulations.
7. Performs analysis for prospective and retrospective contractual adjustments company-wide, clinic and physician by payor and as needed for management, corporate reporting and contract analysis.
8. Completes fee schedule and new service analysis as needed.
9. Assist and complete contract negotiations under direction of CFO and CEO.
10. Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
11. Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
12. Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
13. Directs preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.
14. Interprets and applies corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.
15. Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
16. Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
17. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.
18. Researches and prepares economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.
19. Assists organization's controller in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.
20. MAS 90 support, as needed.
21. FAS support, as needed.
22. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
5. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
6. Knowledge of general ledger and accounting practices.
7. Skill in using calculator and computer.
8. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
9. Ability to prepare reports in accordance with detailed instructions.
10. Ability to communicate clearly.
11. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Spreadsheet software (MS Excel) skills, database knowledge and Word Processing software (MS Word).

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Two or more years work experience as a financial analyst; healthcare experience preferred.
