| Description: | Provides oversight of day-to-day operation of front office areas. Works as a part of the management team with the lead nurse and the clinic manager.

| Duties: | : (This list may not include all the duties assigned)
1. Assists clinic manager in monitoring staffing levels and schedules of front office staff.
2. Serves as a liaison between the front office and back office staff to ensure efficient communication and problem solving.
3. Coordinates and participates in interviews and hiring.
4. Outlines and supervises the training/orientation schedule for new employees.
5. Provides on-going feedback to enhance/improve skills of front office staff.
6. May participate in coaching and disciplinary actions of staff, including terminations.
7. Provides positive role modeling and mentoring for front office staff. Provides training as necessary.
8. Plans and facilitates staff meetings as necessary for front office staff.
9. May serve as acting clinic manager in the manager’s absence.
10. Promotes a cooperative and pleasant work environment and works to encourage employee retention.
11. Assists clinic manager in annual performance reviews of front office staff.
12. Identifies and helps resolve operational problems.
13. Monitors supplies for front office tasks and orders or delegates ordering of supplies.
14. Maintains effective working relationships with physicians, lead nurse, site manager, staff and other leads.
15. Assists the manger in the development of budgets and helps to manage expenses.
16. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
17. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
18. Ongoing Customer Service Training.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: | 1. Knowledge of medical office procedures.
2. Knowledge of management and supervision of operations.
3. Knowledge of fiscal management and human resources management practices.
4. Knowledge of health care administration principles.
5. Knowledge and experience with Oregon Medical Group’s scheduling and registration processes.
6. Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.
7. Skill in gathering, analyzing and interpreting information.
8. Skill in written and verbal communication.
9. Basic computer skills.
10. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality improvement.
11. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision-making.
12. Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
13. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
14. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
15. Equivalent to a high school diploma.
16. 2-4 years in a medical office setting preferred.
17. Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing and/or computer experience preferred.
